The manufacturing price of large blow molds and tools is relatively high, accounting for a large proportion of fixed asset investment. The blow mold factory has good economic benefits for mold maintenance and maintenance, and it is also an important guarantee for the stability and improvement of the quality of blow mold products.

1 Routine maintenance and maintenance measures

       1) Blow drainage and maintenance for the replaced blow mold. In the process of product shaping, the heat of the blow mold is mainly taken away by the cooling water. Due to production adjustments, molds often need to be replaced. The blow mold that is replaced should be blown and drained as soon as possible to prevent the cooling water in the mold cooling channel from rusting the mold. During operation, hoses can be used to connect compressed air to the inlet and outlet of the cooling water to blow air to blow the water out of the cooling water channel.

       2) Lubricate and maintain the guide posts and guide sleeves of the mold to prevent the mold's registration device from rusting.

       3) The mold cavity with high surface quality requirements of blow molding is subjected to rust prevention treatment. The general process of antirust treatment is to spray antirust oil or apply lubricating oil and grease.

       4) Blown and dredge the exhaust holes of the mold to prevent the exhaust holes from being blocked.

       5) Repair the worn and damaged parts of the mold to restore the original dimensional accuracy.

       6) Place the mold in a safe, stable and dry place to prevent moisture or rust or unsafe accidents.

2 Precautions for maintaining and maintaining blow molds

       1) To prevent collision accidents when lifting the mold, it is particularly necessary to prevent the cut position and cavity of the mold from colliding. If these parts are bumped, the mold may be permanently deformed, and there will always be marks after repairing, which will affect the surface quality of the product. In particular, it is important to pay attention to blow molds for forming high-quality surfaces.

       2) For molds that have not been used for a long time, regular inspections are required, and the rust prevention treatment of the mold cavity surface is performed reasonably. More attention should be paid to molds with high-quality surfaces. It takes time to cover the mold.

       3) Different placement methods are adopted for different molds to prevent the molds from being deformed or damaged. For example: For large-scale blow molds with high-precision surfaces, it is necessary to lay the two halves together and place them flat, and place channel steel or wood under the mold to ensure that the mold does not deform; for some super-large molds, Blow moulds with low surface quality requirements can be placed separately in the mould storage rack.

       4) Do not use hard objects to knock or impact the mold cavity to prevent the cavity from deforming.

       5) The molds are classified and placed so that the work of lifting and assembly can be performed smoothly.
